YETI was created in Vancouver BC, Canada in 2012 by Singer and Guitarist, Adam Jang. They quickly worked their way to the top of the live music scene there, winning several contests and selling out several venues, even creating their own indoor Festival, Rockapalooza. With the support of their fanbase, YETI recorded and released their first album, “YETI 1” in winter of 2014. Though the band was proud of their accomplishments, YETI wanted more.. much more.
After releasing their music and videos around the world via social media, and contacting every booking agency that appeared in the Google search engine, YETI was unable to find professional representation.
What were they to do? Perhaps give up? Perhaps be content with just being a successful local band? Nope.. YETI decided to book a tour themselves in Melbourne, Australia, and in 2015, they went on their first international tour with absolutely zero support from any label or company.
The tour was a success, and YETI headed back home to Canada, with the hopes of being further ahead in their hometown, after having a great Aussie Tour. But YETI was wrong, and nothing had really changed for them back home in Vancouver.
So, YETI went into the studio again to record their second album, “YETI II”, this time with a new line up and a new producer in a much nicer studio. The result was getting their songs played on mainstream radio around America and Japan. Still without proper representation or a label that does anything, YETI was unable to break into The American Market, so they booked their own tour again, this time in Vietnam, Thailand and Japan.
In 2016, YETI landed in Vietnam and very quickly grew their fanbase from hundreds to thousands within the span of a few months. They decided to record another album, ‘YETI III” with the new found support of their Asian fanbase, and release some great music videos with a local Vietnamese production team.
Though this madness, YETI somehow created a tour circuit around Asia, and have been able to sustain themselves for the last 4 years, even during natural disasters, political protests and a world wide pandemic. This has resulted in YETI FINALLY receiving proper representation from Top Artist Promotion in Spain, companies in Brazil, Mexico, The UK, Sweden, Japan and America.
Things were looking up, and the band finally had everything that it needed to obtain everything that they had been working for after all these years.
BUT.. then the covid pandemic shut down all companies and boarders, and now YETI could not capitalise on these new opportunities and business deals. They had to wait.. a little longer…
To be productive with this time while the world was at a standstill, now stranded in Bangkok Thailand, YETI went into the studio for the forth time to record their greatest work yet.. “YETI IV, Party Tonight In Valhalla”. With this new album, and seasoned veterans joining Adam Jang in the band, Yoshito Akamine on drums from Okinawa Japan, and Jesada on bass from Bangkok Thailand, they have teamed up with Chris King, of King Photography on their Audio / Visual Media, and the band looks and sounds better than it ever has.
This new alliance will be the focal point that presents YETI to the masses in such a way that can only be described as “Rock Stardom”. It is an honour and a pleasure to be working with King Photography on this project. We have some big plans for the future, and we thank you for coming along for the ride.
